Services for Architects

 Solar Design Associates (SDA) provides architects with a single-source of responsibility for the design, engineering, and integration of solar electric power systems including technical support during construction.

Recent Projects

Since its founding in 1974, the firm has earned an international reputation with projects in the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. These energy-conscious projects incorporate passive solar heating and cooling systems, most include active solar thermal systems and many obtain solar power (electricity) from photovoltaics. Some of these systems are interactive with the utility grid, exporting surplus electricity to the distribution network; others, located on islands or in remote areas independent of the utility, use batteries for on-site electrical storage.
